ACM Women in Computing
On November 11th BMCC Computer Programming Club orgranized
Women in Computing for the 2nd time.
We encouraged BMCC Students from different major to look into Computer Programming. Participants were asked to Make account in Khan Academy where they had coure for Hour of Code.
Android App Development - Andriod SDK
On October 21st BMCC Computer Programming Club hosted Android App Development using the Andriod SDK.
Instructor: Zepp
Students were asked to download Android SDK and zepp went through the basic of using the Android SDK and how to develop Android app using Android SDK. He also mentioned some good refrences and tutorial pages for future refrences.
Robotics - LEGO robots
BMCC Programming Club has provided all neccesary equipments for students who are interested in working with robots. Mainly we are focused on the Lego Robots and students assemble them and code various functions for the robot to perform various tricks and actions.
Guest Speakers
On October 28 we had guest speaker from the CUNY School of Professioal Studies to talk about the transfer policy and Q/A for all cuny students.
